Sakine Irk was born in Adana. In 2006, she graduated from the Sinology Department of the Faculty of Language, History, and Geography at Ankara University. In the same year, she went to China under the Foreign Government Scholarships provided by the Ministry of National Education. For two years, she took Chinese culture courses and received Chinese language education at the University of Foreign Affairs in China. After returning to Turkey, she worked as a Chinese language teacher in high school. Sakine Irk, who is fluent in both Chinese and English, currently works as a written and spoken Chinese translator in various sectors.
