Yalvaç Ural (1945, Konya) has over 100 published books and is an internationally renowned author who has won awards from many different countries. His books have been translated into German, English, Serbian, Croatian, Polish, Albanian, Macedonian, Hungarian, Russian, Persian, Arabic, Dutch and Korean. Two of his stories are read by students in Oxford University Press’ textbooks. He received various prestigious awards. Among them, in 1986 he received the Best Children’s Book Author by TRT. In 2003, he received the Kosovo Author of the Year Award.
