IMG_9928İnci Aral was born in Denizli in 1944. After finishing Manisa Women’s Teaching College, she studied painting at the Gazi Technical Institute. She began writing short stories in 1976, which were first published in 1979, and later moved on to novels.

Her work focuses on the emotions of the individual shaped by cultural and sociological phenomena, social upheaval and breakdowns, problems between the sexes, lack of communication, and the impossible nature of love.

So far, she has written ten novels, eight short story collections and two volumes of essays published.
