IMG_20190219_155240_3Bülent Şenocak was born in Izmir in 1954. He graduated from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Business Administration in Finances.

In 1990, he founded the magazine EGIAD (Aegean Young Businessmen’s Association) together with 47 friends and was its president for two years. In 1993, he became the Turkish president of the International Youth Chamber of Commerce. He is still a member of the JCI.

For nearly two years, he was the publisher of Izmir History and Society Magazine.

In 2003, his book İzmir Star of Levant- Levantines, Greeks, Armenians and Jews (Levant’ın Yıldızı İzmir-Levantenler, Rumlar, Ermeniler ve Yahudiler) was published. It is Şenocak’s first non-fiction volume. His second book, The Anthropomorphised God (İnsanlaştırılan Tanrı), a philosophical essay, was published in 2012. Shattered Dreams (Düş Yollarda Kırıldı, 2013) is Şenocak’s first novel.
