Saba Altinsay was born in 1961 in Canakkale, the famous fortress town on the Dardanelles. She received her B.A. in Communications and Marketing from the Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University. She first worked as a marketing specialist for Hilton Hotels International, and then for an NGO, The Economic and Social History Foundation of Turkey. Currently, she works as a PR consultant. She started writing short and long stories during her twenties some of which were published in literary magazines. Kritimu-My Beloved Crete is her first novel published in 2004 by Can Publishing House in Turkey. Her second novel, I Have Committed No Crime, was published in 2011.
